There is a 48-km route, the Rongjiang River which is called the golden water-route in Jieyang City, and 5000-ton ship can get to Rongcheng when the tide is high. There is a coastline of 82 km with excellent piers of Shenquan, Jinghai and Zhishen, which have 44 berths and the handing capacity of the piers is 5.2547 million tons. The highway of whole city is 4397.6 kilometers, among which 192.3 kilometer is expressway and the highway density is 83.9 km/ 100 sq/km. Guangzhou – Meizhou –Shantou Railway and the expressways of Shenzhen – Shantou, Puning –Huilai, and Meizhou –Jieyang have been built. The expressways of Shantou – Jieyang, Chaozhou – Jieyang are under construction. The Chaoshan Airport, which is in Jiedong Country and with the investment of over 4 billion RMB, is planned to be built in the next half year of this year. Two 300000 – ton berths of Shenquan Piers, which is the first phase of the project and is planned to be invested with 10 billion USD, are being designed and planned.
