Huilai Power Station
As a large power project, Huilai power station is the joint venture invested by Guangdong Power Development Stock Co.,Ltd and Guangdong Yuedian Power Group Co., Ltd, It is planned to build 2 x 60+6 x 1O0 generating sets with investment of40 billon RMB.In February 2007, No.1 set the station star to operate and the annual generating capacity is 3 billion kw/h, which produces the output of 1 billion RMB and pay tax of 200 million RMB every year No.2 set will be used for operation at the end of June, 20O7 and No.3 and 4 sets are prepared for building.
Chaoshan Airport
Located at Paotai Town of Jieyang City and the center of 3cities of Chaoshan Areas, it is about 20 km from the down-towns of the 3 cities. The total investment is up to 4 billion RMB and it has been listed into large and middle projects by the eleventh 5-year plan of our state and the important projects of the eleventh 5-year plan of Guangdong Province. It is esti-mated the airport will be finished for operation at the end of 2010.
Jieyang Urban Air-Defence Project
2004,Jieyang Committee of CPC and municipal government made the decision to introduce 3 billion RMB for the con-struction, of the air-defence projects and the assistant facilities. The project covers 106 items including flood control, trans-portation, virescence, environmental protection, culture, etc. The main items include the reform and renovation of Rongcheng, the bank(44.92 kilometer) of Yuhu dike, the roads along the dike, the green belt and the trunk street of the downtown. In line with the designing plan of “two rivers and four banks” and the need of the construction of the city, the whole project will connect with the construction of municipal facilities, ecosystem, environmental protection, tour and culture to develop the mountain-water culture and make a landscape city.
Huilai Wuyu Nuclear Energy Power Plan
The project is planned to make investment of over 10 billions US$ and the contract has been signed with Zhongguang Nuclear Energy Group Co.,Ltd. The project is planned to be established for approval and the feasibility research will be made in 2008. It will start construction in 2009.
Liquefied Natural Gas LNG Project
The total investment of the project is more than 6 million RMB and the agreement has been signed with China Seashore Oil Co.,Ltd. The feasibility research and all kinds of evaluation work will be finished at the end of this year. The joint venture will be established between China Seashore Oil Co.,Ltd and Jieyang gas and energy company and it is planned to set up 2-3LNG satellite stations to start work in Jieyang at the end of 2007.
Jieyang(Huilai) Petro Chemical Synthesis Industrial Projects
Located at the inshore area of the southeast of Huilai County, covering an area of 30 sq/km, the zone is an important part of petrochemical industry belt of Shantou, Chaozhou and Jieyang,and is listed into the important petrochemical production bases for development by the eleventh 5-year plan of Guangdong. It is planned into several functional zones including pier warehousing zone, petrochemical developing zone, a center park, service centers, fine chemicals zone and development zone for future industry. The total investment is up to 30 billion US$ and the agreement has been signed with Singapore Hebang Group Co.,Ltd. Preparation for the project is being carried out.
